Welcome, we are here to tell you about the amazing island of North Cyprus.
Whether you want to rent a car or a villa, require transfer services, property management or general information, then keep in touch and check out the blog!
Now the company is expanding as the number of properties we have is increasing, so I would like to welcome both Jayne and Heather and look forward to working with them
It has been a while since I have had the time to blog. With the run up to Christmas and then the New Year parties life has been a social whirl.
However, I have been reading on the internet about the weather in the UK, and while I am sitting here in North Cyprus with the sun shining I have been feeling slightly smug. For it is days like this that I am reminded why I now live here.
So what would I be doing if I was in the UK? Well I would be looking to book my holiday!! Dreaming of the sun, warm weather, blue skies and sea, and why not when all you are doing at the moment is looking at white pavements and grey skies.
So Why North Cyprus, well there is so much to see and do here if you so wish. There are castles to climb, Abbeys to visit, ruined cities to see, fo everyone has had a bit of Cyprus over the years!! From Ottomans to Arabs they have all left their mark.
Prices here are not too bad either, a bottle of voddie only about £8 (Absolute), you can rent an amazing villa and have your own pool or stay at a hotel and get maid service, we are really not a Banana Republic. To see more details visit the website www.acmenyaexclusive.com or e-mail on acmenyaexclusive@gmail.com and I will answer all your questions.
I have to go now as I have just seen someone walk pass my office in shorts (now that is going it some!) I will be blogging more often now (it is a New Years Resolution!)
I cannot believe that another week has gone by and I have not had a chance to update our blog!
It has been so busy this week, taking on new properties, sorting out the properties that we already have as well as general bits and pieces – hey ho!
Today is the 23rd November, it is 23 degrees and the sun is shining. It was the same yesterday and so I took the chance to go for a walk with my dogs. We started off round near the reservoir, well it is a large puddle really due to the lack of rain that we have had. As it is hunting season there were several men popping up out of the reeds with guns, not good, so we changed tactics and went to the beach. This was a much better decision, the dogs loved it and we ambled along chatting and putting the world to rights. The dogs were in and out of the sea as were some people (personally if it is not like a bath, then I don’t go in!).
Today, after wlking 10 miles my legs ache, my back aches and everything aches – dogs however are bounding about like there is no tomorrow. But the whole moral is, when the weather is lovely in November, when you can still wear a t-shirt then go out and enjoy it. It is days like these that I have no doubts about why I came to North Cyprus, and I want to share these experiences with everyone. I want everyone to see North Cyprus for it is so beautiful.
Another Monday and we are already in the middle of November, where has the year gone? All the plans that I had made have gone by the by, although I have managed to set up the business, and all is going well so far. I have also learnt how to Blog and Twitter, a whole new world has now opened up. Talking to yourself on line, well who would have thought it.
So, North Cyprus, it is still warm and the sun is still shining, so it is Monday mornings like these that I remember how lucky I am to live here. While I was walking my dogs along the beach this morning, the sea was like a mill pond, and I looked up and smiled, if anyone had asked me at that moment “Would you ever go back?” the answer would definatly have been no, and most days the answer is the same.
Where else in the world would I be able to live like this, relaxed and happy, the sea on one side and the mountains on the other? I cannot remember when I was living in the UK if I ever spoke to my neighbours, here, “Morning” is a common greeting that I hear daily, this is truely an amazing, wonderful place to live.
The trouble living somewhere hot and sunny is that the days all merge into one and it has got to Thursday before I have realised it.
Well the weather is still great, warm and sunny with a very slight breeze and in the general scheme of things everyone is bright and sunny. It is times like this, in November, that I know why I live here. I have changed my wardrobe from summer to winter, but I keep finding that I am still dipping into the summer clothes (bit of a pain as it tends to need ironing first!)
So, what is happening on a sunny Thursday, well not a lot, which is wonderful and I am going to continue to enjoy the day…………………North Cyprus really is a beautiful country with wonderful people.
Well having recovered from the amount of food (and drinks) on Saturday night, what could be better than taking the dogs for a walk by the sea! The wind was blowing but the sun was shining and I was able to walk them while still wearing a t-shirt at 7.30 this morning. The wind blew away the cobwebs, and the sun cheered me up for the rest of the day.
After a leisurely breakfast outside we decided that we would head to the harbour again. On a Sunday the harbour area is buzzing, there are so many families out of all nationalities, walking together, having coffee or meeting friends. It is a great place to sit and people watch. Seeing what people are wearing, how they are behaving and generally enjoying the laziness of the day.
After the harbour we heading on over to one of the properties to check that everything was in order and to give it an airing before heading back home and the comfort of the sofa. Now ready and relaxed for Monday morning, because although you may come on holiday we have to work, and we still get that Monday feeling!!
So early night, good book and see you tomorrow……………
Well I am off out tonight to one of the wonderful restaurants in Girne with some drinks by the harbour after. The choice of restaurants is outstanding, should we go for Indian, Chinese, Turkish, French, English, Spanish or Italian? Should we drink wine, sangria, vodka or have a long Brandy Sour?
The evening is mild, we will be popping on our jackets and sitting next to the water, watching the people strolling by, and gossiping about the various outfits that will be passing by…………..
Oh well, best get ready – have a great weekend
and yes it is a stunning day.
The rain that has been with us for the last week has washed away the dust of the summer and given all the plants a new lease of life. The grass is green, the flowers are a multitude of colours and it really is the sort of day that you remember why you moved away from the grey of London.
If you have ever been to Turkey and thought that it was lovely, why not hop on a plane and try North Cyprus? It is the European Turkey, you have the amazing restaurants, the weather, the friendly people and all the historical places to visit – check out this page for the top 10 places http://www.acmenyaexclusive.com/About%20Cyprus.htm All the history here you can touch, there is not the railings keeping you away, there is the thought that your common sense will keep you from damaging anything!
So what is new? Nothing really, it is just a wonderful day – and those are the days that count……………………
Having been out of the office for the day I have come back to find a note saying that the boss and one of the drivers have both gone to do their National Service for the day and cannot be contacted. Now the question is why today, the busiest day of the week and not yesterday when there was nothing! Typical, so they will spend the day sitting around, drinking coffee, chatting and playing with their guns, leaving us to run the business, that is not to say that we are incapable of doing so, it is just a pain in the rear.
I have also been left an enquiry about a rental in July next year for 2 weeks!! This is exciting as it shows that it will be a busy year again if people are booking now for their holidays. So if you are thinking of booking a villa I would get in there quickly as they will soon all go (especially the school holidays!)
It is a very strange day today, very quiet, hardly any traffic (and no it is not a public holiday), even the wind is barely blowing, very odd indeed. But at least the rain has gone and it looks like it will be a great day again.
Oh well back to running the business!!
There is still sun in North Cyprus even though it is raining at the same time, this means there is still people in shorts but with rain macs on top.
The views from Casa Mia, one of our villas is stunning. The sea is black, the sky is a mixture of light blue, fluffy white clouds and then dark patches where the rain is. You can see the lightening hitting the sea while you have the log fire roaring and the dvd player going. What more could you ask for?
As it is the beginning of November and the weather has turned everyone is now putting their mind to Christmas. Many of the restaurants and hotels are doing special deals where everyone can enjoy the day without having to wash up, but if you don’t celebrate Christmas and wish to have a normal day then this is fine, as everything is open as normal, even the banks!
But New Years is amazing, everyone is out, there are fireworks, parties and normal priced taxis, now that is what I call a great night!!!
If you want to go away from the grey of the UK for Christmas and New Year, why not think about renting a villa in North Cyprus and enjoy the fun with the sun still shining!
